the product
A mobile application serving as a comprehensive digital agenda for events in Florianópolis, providing users with easy access to information and ticket purchases for various events such as parties, concerts, theaters, museums, and conferences.
project duration
16 weeks
the problem
Users struggle to find information about events due to scattered announcements across different platforms, leading to a time-consuming search process and missed opportunities.
the goal
Develop a mobile application that consolidates event information, simplifying the search process and enabling users to discover and attend a diverse range of events effortlessly.
my role
The project involved the participation of three people: two fellow programmers and me, as a UX/UI designer. In this way, I led the entire design process, leveraging my experience in mobile UI design.
responsibilities
• Conduct user research
• Define personas, user journeys, empathy maps, and user flows
• Visual design of low-fi and high-fi wireframes, prototypes, and user testing

user research
summary
Due to the short time and low investment, I chose to conduct 3 interviews and 10 surveys to understand user's frustrations and needs regarding event discovery.
This way, without prioritizing just one type of research, I obtained both qualitative and quantitative data.
user research
pain points
Time-consuming event searches: difficulty finding events as it takes a lot of time.
Lack of comprehensive information about events: Incomplete event details make it difficult to make informed decisions.
Difficulty in finding relevant events for the user: there are no event recommendations based on the user's choices.

user journey map
When creating user journey maps, I wanted to illustrate the process of how Guilherme and Vinicius behave, feel and what they think when achieving their goals to solve pain points or provide moments of joy.

usability studies
I built user-focused flows to ensure that my personas could successfully complete their key objectives while reducing any existing pain points.

paper wireframes
Focusing on the core features identified during user research, I sketched the first wireframes.
digital wireframes
To make the digital wireframes, I started by putting my ideas on paper. Then I began to work on the high-fidelity wireframes in Figma. After several iterations, I came up with these wireframes.
low-fidelity prototype
I created a low-fidelity prototype from the user flow diagram and wireframes to test functionality before incorporating it into the final design and to ensure accessibility for end-users.

findings
home screen: users commented on being able to search the profile of event organizers, thus being able to follow upcoming events in their favorite locations.
Filters: users noted that although it is useful to filter by the desired day, it would be very interesting to be able to filter by period, for example, from Friday to Sunday, to view all the weekend's events

accessibility
When choosing a color palette, I made sure my primary colors met WCAG AA Compliance before building out the UI for each screen.
I am using only one typeface: Space Grotesk is a sans serif typeface with a good number of fonts to use in different sizes.
I implemented a text hierarchy throughout the app. This helps users to distinguish the different sections and information on screen.
